Welcome to my DiaLog!

Dear Diary, DiaLog,

Oh hey there.  My name’s Allie Fisher and welcome to my first EVER blog/diary post/entry. I’ve never really had a blog before so I don’t exactly know if I’ll be good at it… but I figure it’s worth a shot.

Okkkkk so I guess I asked myself, ‘what would a normal person do in this situation’? (FYI the situation is me doing something I’ve never done before, being a person who’s well… kind of slow to start.) In answer to this question I figured it might be best if I tell you a little bit about myself.

Like I said, my name is Allie Fisher. I’m 16 years old, I go to high school (boring boring boring…) I want to be a writer (no surprises there) and I have 2 sisters and one brother. You’ll learn about them soon enough.

Myself? Well if you were to paint a picture of me in your mind I guess I’d be average height (5”5? Is that average?) average build (not telling you that) size 8 in shoes and I have blonde hair and brown eyes. No. That doesn’t mean my hair is dyed… that means I have unique genetics.

My best friend’s name is Liv… no that is not short for Olivia. Just Liv. She’s kind of cool, and if she’s really lucky maybe I’ll let her write a couple of these things. She hates writing (maths nerd alert…) but she’s good at it anyway. Like every. Single. Other. Thing. She. Does. Not that I’m jealous or anything.

Ok, so that’s the basics. “Why blogging/diary writing?” You ask? (Well that’s what I’d be thinking…) my answer would be, “Why the heck not?” Oh! Speaking of which, I just came up with a really cool heading for this thing: Dialog. Get it? Well if not then I guess the whole point of that just went down the drain. Guess it’s somewhere between a ‘Dia’ry and a B’log’. Getting it now? Hoping so. But seriously, why? Well it all started 2 years ago.

Long story short – I was bored. Before the days when ‘blogging’ was super popular there was (drum roll) email! I know what you’re thinking… email? Bor-ing. BUT I can assure you they weren’t! I called them ‘bored emails’ and I sent them to everyone on my contact list… all 7 of them. After about a year I had accumulated 3 more readers which made 10 (Liv?) but my writing just wasn’t reaching the people I’d hoped. So here we are. Dialogging.
